MAPD Annual Conference

Lowell's Historic DowntownThe 2013 Annual Conference was held in Lowell June 6th and 7th. Sessions on manufacturing-based economic development, adaptive reuse, medical marijuana, parks, mansionization, climate change, housing, and more were held against the backdrop of historic Lowell’s renovated mills, trolleys, canals, and arts and culture renaissance.

The Conference was hosted by the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center, and enjoyed support from the City of Lowell, especially The Honorable Mayor Patrick O. Murphy, Assistant City Manager Adam Baacke and his team at the Department of Planning and Development.
